My PC, whilst not ultra high-end, was put together with a specification I researched, which aimed towards making a computer particularly suited for Audio production.
The specification was limited by budget, and my requirement for both audio production and more general computer use on the one machine

I would have in the past additionally had a whole host of external guitar FX units. However, now, these all reside within the virtual environment of Cakewalk Sonar.
Despite the large collection of guitars, it is my two most recent purchases, the variax bass guitar and electric guitar, which now are used almost exclusively. I was very curious about these guitars after having read about them. Well, I wish they'd have existed when I was 16 years old, I might have saved myself a fortune on the various middle priced guitars I bought over the years... Despite my not wanting to believe the Variax line would do what it clames to do, well, they just do... I still have a little 'wow' every time I switch the Variax 700 from telecaster or gibson to 12 string acoustic...
